The Mark VI Supremacy-class starfighter, also known as the ISF interceptor or simply the Mk. VI interceptor, was a model of one-pilot fighter used by the reconstituted Sith Empire during the Great Galactic War and beyond.
Imperial naval doctrine stated that individual starfighters weren't a deciding factor in the outcomes of starship engagements. Designs lile the Supremacy-class were tailored to that belief. These starfighters were specially built for group maneuvers, attacking enemy forces in bulk and overwhelming them with more targets than they could successfully engage. Each fighter was equipped with four rapid-fire laser cannons - 2 on wingtips and 2 mounted in a chin of a cockpit - and powerful engines to aid swarm tactics. Broad cockpit windows allowed maximum combat visibility. Their shielding was minimal, however, and the starfighters weren't equipped with heavier weapons like concussion missile launchers or proton torpedoes. The Mark VI had wing-mounted solar collection panels, was designed for 6 hours of mission time and 36 hours of life support, its standard cargo included field survival kit and blaster carbine. Supremacy pilots accepted these limiations as a point of pride, drilling constantly to carry out their complex group maneuvers with absolute precision.
